U18s win N Wilts Youth League cup to complete cup double!

Robins U18s were today celebrating a cup double after following up their success in the Wiltshire FA Youth Cup with a dominant victory in the N Wilts League Cup. The final, played today at Cirencester Town's Corinium Stadium, saw the team seal the cup double with a 4-0 win, following on from the news earlier in the day that other results had secured a runners-up place in U18 Division 1. In addition, captain Lawrence Rees rightly picked up the Man of the Match award for an inspiring committed performance leading his team to victory.

Any team would be justifiably proud of any one of these achievements, to achieve all 3, especially winning both of the cups on offer in their final season together is a fantastic achievement for the players and one they will always be able to look back on with real pride. Congratulations to U18s manager Tony Smith and all the U18s from everyone at Robins FC - you have always represented our club with heart and pride and you have gone out at the top! We are all very proud of you.

A selection of pictures from the day is available in our photo gallery here and a match report and video highlights of the game on the YourSportSwindon website at http://www.yoursportswindon.co.uk/robins-flying-high-after-cup-success/ - especially worth checking out the spectacular overhead for the 3rd goal at 3:48! (Although they're all good goals!)
