U13 win thrilling semi final to go through to County Cup Final

Robins U13s came back from 2-0 down in normal time and from 3-2 down in extra time to win their County Cup semi-final in a penalty shoot-out after a thrilling cup tie against old rivals Lydiard Youth. Both teams played some great football and in truth it was a match neither deserved to lose but the Robins lads were thrilled to have just sealed it with a sudden death penalty scored by goalkeeper Matt Chivers.

The Wiltshire FA County Cup takes in teams from all across the county, starting with 52 teams back in September. To get to this stage, the lads have beaten teams from Alderbury, Salisbury FC Youth, Supermarine U12s, Bishops Cannings and now Lydiard, setting up an exciting final against N Wilts 1st Division rivals Supermarine, with the two sides also due to play each other in the league before then.

The final will be played on Sunday 29th April at Westbury Utd FC with a 10.30 am kick off and Robins players and parents past and present are encouraged to come out and support the boys. A full match report of the semi-final is in the U13s match reports page here
