Congratulations to U16 defender Sonny James who has signed for Forest Green Rovers Academy, becoming the fourth player from this team to sign for a Football League side's Academy. He joins his team-mate Dylan John who signed for Forest Green earlier this season and former team-mates Sam White and Tom Wynn-Davis who are at Swindon Town Academy.
Sonny has been with the team since it started at U7s and played with Tom and Sam in what was a highly successful team as they moved up through the age groups together. It's a remarkable record of success for any club to get 4 players into professional academies, never mind four players from the same team so congratulations to U16 manager Jason Rawlins who has nurtured and developed these young talents to help them achieve their dreams.
Needless to say everyone at Robins FC is delighted for Sonny, a wonderful young man as well as a talented footballer, and we will be keeping a keen eye on all four of them as their careers develop!
