Coaches of the Under 8 Red Team, Antony Rutzler (Rutz) and Trevor Heffernan, took their squad out to the PGL Centre at Liddington for a team build and training day to help develop confidence, team spirit and friendship among their young and talented squad.

With amazing blue skies and warm sunshine, the day got off to a great start with a quality football training session in the wonderful grounds of the PGL Centre where Swindon Town used to train. After a tasty picnic the squad then took part in several fun but challenging activities where the theme of the day was teamwork, encouraging and supporting your teammates and having fun together.

First up was an obstacle assault course, followed by an underground "tunnel trail" in pitch darkness where the boys had to be brave, trust each other and communicate effectively. After a lot of hard work and many laughs, the team enjoyed a tasty dinner together in the PGL canteen.
Rutz and Trev were extremely proud and pleased with the boys effort and commitment to helping each other throughout the day, which has already been reflected in a wonderful team performance against Wroughton Blue on Sunday. It was such a great day, we're looking forward to next year's team build already!!
