Congratulations to the U12s who battled the wind and rain for over 6 hours on Sunday to win the Bishops Cannings pre-season 9 a side tournament in style.
The team won 4 games and drew 1 in the group stage conceding just one goal along the way to take them through to the semi-finals where they won 2-0.
In the final, the team kept up their high performance levels, not letting the pressure of the occasion get to them playing some controlled football which earned them a deserved 1-0 win and another piece of silverware for 2017.
Everyone put in an excellent effort and played their part in a truly brilliant team performance showing some great passing and pressing all the time up the field. Well done boys, you should all be proud (your managers Bryan and Mark definitely are), as you were a great credit to yourselves and Robins FC with praising comments coming from the other teams' coaches on the day.
A special mention as well to all the parents who braved the weather to cheer on the team as well as chase the team's gazebo half way round the field! A great confidence boost going into the new season. COYR!
