What a brilliant, magical day yesterday as the weather just about held out for the Robins FC loud and proud Presentation Day and World Cup Tournament for our younger age groups. Over 200 parents and players from the U6-U9 age groups relaxed and played throughout the afternoon and, Football really, truly came home as "England" were the victors🦁🦁🦁🏆 in our fun World Cup Tournament
The Day had everything - pride, passion, energy, enthusiasm, emotion, development, foundation, and heart. We really did see THE #ROBINSFAMILY in full force yesterday. And most important of all, our Robins Stars (and their parents!) had an epic day out and loved it.
Big thanks to all our incredible, inspirational coaches, to our Super Fans, our supporters, the parents, and guardians - you all rock! (Special thanks to both Trevors and Dean who helped set up the pitches for the tournament) To our superb Chairman Paul Wainwright for his leadership and to our long serving secretary Teresa Trueman for all her support. To Jaime Seymour for organising so many fantastic raffle prizes (we will thank all those companies seperately)👍 To all those players who were awarded a medal and to all the winners of the set awards - well done, keep improving, keep smiling. A special mention here to Goodswill Pinto who won the Chairman's Trophy, a massive honour.
Finally, we celebrated the life of one of our original Robins Warren Wozza Jackson, who sadly passed recently and who will never be forgotten. His memorial trophy, which will be presented annually, went to our amazing U14s team, who were league winners this season. Wozzas brother was available to present it. Very emotional, but it shows what our great club is about❤️🔴⚪️⚫️⚽️
